Breakthroughs in research strengthen glutathione link
An ASU researcher says scientists are getting closer to understanding key bio-chemical indicators of a mother’s likelihood of having an Autistic child. The finding could eventually result in tests and treatment for mothers to decrease the chances of Autism.
It was found that moms who carry an abnormality of glutathione and homocysteine levels have a one in three chance of having a child with Autism. From the current research giving the mother and child suppplements to increase their glutathione levels appears to be a promising way to reducing the risk of a child developing autisim.
